You’ve earned a lay in but it’s now time to get up and grab something to eat. It’s too late for breakfast but not quite lunchtime so the next question is – where can you find the best brunch in Downtown Orlando? We’ve grabbed this assignment and run with it because let’s face it, free food! We went out and found the best gosh-darn brunches and trust us, Downtown Orlando is FILLED with great places. So in no particular order, here are some of our favorites.
No list would be complete without Le Gourmet Break. Open Saturdays to Monday from 8am to 2pm and Tuesdays to Friday from 7:30am-2pm, Le Gourmet wears their French ownership proudly. The customer service there was impeccable which was the icing on the cake because the food is delicious! We sampled the French onion soup (the croquet monsieur) which was amazing – along with the macaroons, nutella Danish, the chicken and spinach croissant and the béchamel sauce. All of which were pretty awesome and really filled us up and started the day right.
We headed to Se7en Bites and were just as blown away by their food and service. Located over on 617 N. Primrose Drive, at its heart, Se7en Bites is a sweet and savory bakeshop that specializes in nostalgic southern comfort foods with a modern twist. We sampled the 7PattyMelt (two patties, carmelized onions, white cheddar spread on sour dough) and loved every bite. We also tried the Bene Hill, Banana Caramel Granola Nut Pancakes, and the Caprese Farmer’s Breakfast Sandwich – and had no problems with any of them. In fact, we loved every one of them!
The third place we went that blew us away was Kiki’s Café. Wow! They do a variety of waffles, from Banana Nut and Caramel to Apple-Cinnamon to Pecan to Chocolate Chip and the ones we sampled were amazing. They also do a similar business in Pancakes and French Toast – and also offer up amazing omelets. They have locations everywhere so clearly we’re not the first to enjoy them but we’re fairly sure you will too.
There you go; a few of the best brunches we could find in Downtown Orlando. Hopefully you’ll sample one (or all three) of these places sometimes soon – and if you do, don’t forget to let us know what you thought! back
