We’ve decided to focus our new blog on the extravagant Ferris Wheel known as the Orlando Eye. Opened recently, in 2015, the Eye (which changed its name to the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye in 2016), is built by the same people who did the London Eye – so they know what they’re doing! The 400-foot tall observation wheel travels in a continuous loop but the views it brings of Central Florida and Downtown Orlando are mouth-dropping and breathtaking. Indeed, on a clear day you can see all the way to Cape Canaveral!
They’re open from 10am to 10pm Sunday through Thursday and 10am to midnight Friday and Saturday. You can even schedule a Champagne Experience – which comes with priority boarding and a glass of champagne served up while you sit back and relax inside your capsule.
If you don’t want to share, you can plum for a private capsule too. Prices begin at $275 for the private ride.
With the gorgeous blue skies above, the Orlando Eye contains stabilized-driven capsules to ride in that help create a smooth experience. No one wants to be swinging around at 400 feet! Well, if you do, there are other rides for that experience.
There are 30 capsules, each with air conditioning, that can hold up to 15 people.
And did we mention it lights up at night?
And did we mention it comes with different lights? This picture was taken on Flag Day!
And this picture is from Earth Day.
The views are breathtaking!
It doesn’t matter what the time of day it is, it’s always so stunning!
Even the doggies love it! This was taken with some dogs from the My Angel With Paws program as they were being trained (and they passed with flying colors!).
You can find the Orlando Eye at 8401 International Drive right near Aria at Millenia! back
